Privacy and file handling
Plain answers to what happens to your files and data on GlobTool.
Files you upload
When you use a tool, your file is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to GlobTool’s server, processed there, and the result is made available for you to download.
Results are deleted automatically after about an hour and the download link stops working. Uploads are only held in memory or temporary folders while they are processed. Files are not looked at, shared or sold.
Result links use long random names, so they cannot be guessed. Anyone who has the exact link can download the result until it is deleted, so do not share the link if the file is private.
What runs where
Images and PDFs are processed by GlobTool’s own software. Office and text documents are converted with LibreOffice, and PDF compression uses Ghostscript, both running on the same server. No outside processing service receives your files.
Accounts and personal data
GlobTool has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email address. The server keeps short technical logs (time, page requested, response status) to keep the service running and to limit abuse. File names and contents are not written to those logs.
Advertising and cookies
GlobTool is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them, depending on your consent choices. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
GlobTool itself stores only your light or dark theme choice in your browser.
